What we collect
We collect nothing else. The site carries no analytics, no advertising tracker and no social media button, and it calls no resource on an outside server: the typefaces are served from our own.

The contact form
your name, company, email address, telephone number, the nature of your enquiry and the content of your message. Only the name, the email address and the message are needed; the other fields are optional, and leaving them empty does not stop us answering.

Server logs
the IP address of your connection, the date, the page requested and the browser used, recorded by our host for the security and the sound operation of the service.

Rate limiting
the IP address a message is sent from, so that messages cannot be sent automatically in series.

Filtering automated messages
the browser your request announces and the page the form was sent from, examined at the moment of sending in order to set aside messages from machines. Neither is kept; only the reason for a refusal is.
Why, and on what basis
We process these data to answer your enquiry and, where it goes further, to conduct the exchanges that precede a possible engagement.
The legal basis is your consent, given by the box you tick before sending — Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — together with our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and in retaining a record of the enquiries we receive, under point (f) of the same Article.
No decision producing legal effects concerning you is taken by automated means, and your data are not subject to profiling.
Who sees them
Your message is sent by email to the members of the team its subject concerns, and to no one else.
We do not sell, rent or disclose your data to anyone. The site uses no third-party analytics, marketing or form-handling service.
Our host, OVH SAS, processes the data on our behalf as a processor and within the limits of our instructions.
Where they are held
The site and its mail are hosted by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France. The data do not leave the European Union, and no transfer to a third country takes place.
For how long

Messages received
three years from the last exchange, then erased. Where an engagement follows, the period becomes the one set by the engagement letter and by the legal obligations attaching to it.

The form log
thirty days. It holds the messages that could not be sent, so that none disappears in silence, and those set aside as automated, so that a mistake by the filter can still be recovered. Everything in it is purged after thirty days.

Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have them corrected or erased, to have their processing restricted, to receive them in a portable form, and to object to their processing.
Your consent may be withdrawn at any time; withdrawing it does not affect what was done before.
These rights are exercised in writing to contact@kernwelt.com. We answer within one month.
Complaints
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the Commission nationale pour la protection des données, 15 boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, or lodge a complaint at cnpd.public.lu.
